Batocabe, Director IV attended the DSWD Ceremonial Signing of the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 8972 or the “Solo Parents Welfare Act of 2000”, recently held in Diamond Hotel, Manila last September 29, 2022. The said event led by Secretary Erwin T. Tulfo, was attended and participated by various government agencies and Federations of Solo Parents.

𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒 I As part of providing excellent service to SWDAs, staff of Standards Development Division (SDD) of Standards Bureau initiated the recently conducted 4-day capacity building on Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA), with the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), last September 20-23, 2022 at Red Hotel, Quezon City. Through this activity, SB personnel gained uniform and deeper understanding of RIA that would help them in the intricate aspect of developing public guidelines and policies.

As part of its regulatory functions, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Standards Bureau (SB), conducts on site validation assessment of Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs) in line with the issuance of a DSWD Certificate of Registration and License to Operate.
