𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒 I The Standards Bureau had recently participated in the DSWD-wide Internal Quality Audit in preparation for the surveillance audit to be conducted by the SOCOTEC Certification Philippines. The said audit is in line with the implementation of the DSWD’s Quality Management System with the following objectives:

𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒 I The Standards Bureau (SB), headed by Atty. Justin Caesar Anthony D. Batocabe, Director IV attended the DSWD Ceremonial Signing of the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 8972 or the “Solo Parents Welfare Act of 2000”, recently held in Diamond Hotel, Manila last September 29, 2022. The said event led by Secretary Erwin T. Tulfo, was attended and participated by various government agencies and Federations of Solo Parents.

𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒 I As part of providing excellent service to SWDAs, staff of Standards Development Division (SDD) of Standards Bureau initiated the recently conducted 4-day capacity building on Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA), with the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), last September 20-23, 2022 at Red Hotel, Quezon City. Through this activity, SB personnel gained uniform and deeper understanding of RIA that would help them in the intricate aspect of developing public guidelines and policies.

As part of its regulatory functions, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Standards Bureau (SB), conducts on site validation assessment of Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs) in line with the issuance of a DSWD Certificate of Registration and License to Operate.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) announced on Tuesday, September 13, that the online platform for the registration and licensing of Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs) and accreditation of social welfare development programs and services is now open following the re-launching of the enhanced DSWD Regulatory eServices.

In its commitment to protect the public from unscrupulous fundraising activities, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Standards Bureau headed by Director Justin Caesar Anthony Batocabe, met with the members of the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and representatives from different Crowdfunding and Fundraising consultant agencies, through a virtual conference meeting conducted recently.

𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒 I The final batch of the Regional/Provincial orientation on DSWD Regulatory policies and procedures was recently conducted in Davao City in close coordination with DSWD Field Office XI while the first two batches were held in Baguio City and Cebu City last April and June, respectively, through the help of DSWD Field Offices Cordillera and VII.
