DSWD Retains ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Quality Management System
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has successfully renewed its International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification from SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. (SCPI) for its Quality Management System (QMS).
This recertification signifies the DSWD’s continued commitment to providing high-quality services to its clients and stakeholders. The scope of the certification covers key regulatory services such as Registration, Licensing, and Accreditation of Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs) under the Standards Bureau.
To ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, a comprehensive three-day audit was conducted at the DSWD Central Office from October 2-3, 2024. The audit assessed the agency’s adherence to quality management principles, including customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision-making, and relationship management.
This recertification underscores the DSWD’s dedication to continuous improvement and its commitment to providing efficient, effective, and client-centered services. (PJE)
