STANDARDS BUREAU CONVENES INTEROPERABILITY WORKSHOP, BOOSTS STAFF DEVELOPMENT

Under the visionary leadership of Atty. Megan Therese Y. Manahan, Director IV of the Standards Bureau (SB), the Bureau successfully concluded its Interoperability Framework Workshop held at the Terrace Hotel in Subic Bay Freeport Zone from June 30 to July 4, 2025.

The five-day workshop was a critical step in effectively harmonizing the SB’s internal structure, functions, and processes. A primary goal of the gathering was to ensure these elements are aligned with the Regulatory Services, and Institutional Development Group’s (RSIDG) Strategic Plan 2023-2028.

Undersecretary for RSIDG Denise Florence Bernos-Bragas, MD, RSW, underscored the profound importance of the workshop, stating, “This workshop is our opportunity to fine-tune our collective instruments. It is also a chance to learn from our experiences, bridge any gaps, and build a more cohesive and responsive Standards Bureau.” Her remarks highlighted the commitment to continuous improvement and enhanced collaboration within the regulatory arm of the government.

Beyond the strategic discussions, the workshop also incorporated a significant component for personal and professional growth. SB staff actively participated in an enlightening “Understanding One’s Personality” Workshop which was designed to boost self-awareness, enhance communication skills, and strengthen interpersonal relationships among colleagues, ultimately contributing to a more effective and harmonious working environment within the Bureau.
