STANDARDS BUREAU CONCLUDES ITS ONLINE CONSULTATION WORKSHOP FOR THE DRAFT STANDARD GUIDELINES AND OTHER POLICY DOCUMENTS FOR CY 2025

The Standards Bureau (SB) has successfully concluded its Online Consultation Workshop, held on April 24 to 25, 2025 via Google Meet, and expresses its sincere gratitude to all participants for their invaluable contributions in reviewing and enhancing the Draft Standard Guidelines and other Policy Documents.

The two-day workshop centered on two significant areas: the “Search for Outstanding Social Work Agencies (SWAs) and Auxiliary Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs),” designed to recognize and incentivize excellence in service delivery, and the “State Subsidy for Private Residential-Based Social Work Agencies,” working to ensure transparent and sustainable support for vulnerable individuals.

“This consultation workshop is an invaluable opportunity to reinforce regulatory policies and guidelines, ensuring continued compliance among social welfare and development agencies (SWDAs). It is a key undertaking by the Standards Bureau to refine and develop the Department’s existing framework for setting standards for all our valued stakeholders,” Undersecretary for Regulatory Services, and Institutional Development Group (RSIDG) Denise Florence Bernos-Bragas, MD, RSW shared.

Present during the activity were partners and representatives from the Area-Based Standards Network (ABSNET) and personnel from the DSWD Central Office and Field Offices.
