DSWD ROLLS OUT HELPS ROADSHOWS TO STREAMLINE SERVICES FOR SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT AGENCIES

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through the Standards Bureau (SB), actively rolls out its Harmonized Electronic License and Permit System (HELPS) through a series of roadshows aimed at enhancing efficiency and accessibility for Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs) nationwide.

Recently, the DSWD conducted two (2) HELPS roadshows. From April 2 to 4, the SB collaborated with the DSWD Field Office VI’s Standards Section for a hands-on demonstration of HELPS at the Pinnacle Resort and Villas in Malay, Aklan. This event gave both private and public SWDAs in Western Visayas direct access with the new digital platform.

Following this, on May 29, 2025 the DSWD Field Office XII, led by Regional Director Loreto Jr. Cabaya, hosted its own HELPS Roadshow. This “one-stop-shop” provided SWDAs in the region with hands-on access to regulatory services. Attendees at both events had the chance to familiarize themselves with the digital platform, learning how to navigate the system and submit applications online, reducing the need for in-person visits and lengthy queues, making processes smoother for everyone involved.

These HELPS Roadshows are a core part of the DSWD’s ongoing commitment to streamlining and enhancing regulatory services for its stakeholders nationwide.
