DSWD CONVENES TOWNHALL MEETINGS ON KAAGAPAY DONATIONS PORTAL WITH KEY PARTNERS

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has been actively engaging its vital partners in a series of town hall meetings focused on the Kaagapay Donations Portal (KDP), a new digital platform designed to significantly enhance the efficiency and transparency of cash and in-kind donations. This initiative underscores the DSWD’s commitment to strengthening its collaboration with Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs) in delivering crucial social protection services.

The first townhall meeting was successfully held on April 14, 2025, followed by a second session on June 19, 2025. Both gatherings brought together key stakeholders crucial to the seamless operation of social welfare services: representatives from Centers and Residential Care Facilities (CRCFs), the Area-Based Standards Network (ABSNet), and various Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs).

The KDP is a visionary project aimed at streamlining the entire donation process, from acceptance to distribution. Its core purpose is to facilitate easier and more transparent giving, while simultaneously fortifying the essential partnership between the DSWD and its stakeholders.

During the town hall meetings, participants received in-depth presentations on the portal’s functionalities, including how it will manage different types of donations, ensure accountability, and provide real-time updates on donation drives and their impact.
