COLLABORATIVE MEETING OF SB AND NACC KICKS OFF TO BOOST CHILD WELFARE PROGRAMS

A two-day collaborative meeting between the Standards Bureau (SB) and the National Authority for Child Care (NACC) was conducted on May 12 to 13, 2025 at the NACC Office in Quezon City to bring together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Office of the Undersecretary and Assistant Secretary for International Affairs and Attached and Supervised Agencies (IAASA) and the Regional Authority for Child Care Office (RACCO), to significantly enhance the implementation of social welfare programs.

The meeting’s primary goal is to foster a shared understanding of new policies, address existing implementation challenges, and streamline processes to improve service delivery for child care and welfare services. Key objectives include comprehending the new policy on DSWD MC 7, s. 2025, resolving issues stemming from NACC MC No. 3, s. 2024 and DSWD MC No. 18, s. 2024, and standardizing SWA certification for AACC programs. Discussions also focus on coordinating assessment and support strategies, as well as establishing practical action points and robust coordination mechanisms for efficient service delivery.

The outcomes of this meeting were formally documented, serving as a guide for future collaborations and ultimately aiming to elevate child care services across the nation.
