DSWD Launches Kaagapay Donations Portal, Strengthening Partnerships with SWDAs

To strengthen relationships and advance social protection, the Standards Bureau (SB), in collaboration with the Partnerships Building and Resource Management Office (PBRMO), launched the Kaagapay Donations Portal on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center. The launch formed part of the DSWD’s 74th anniversary celebration, themed “Bawat Pamilyang Pilipino ay Mahalaga sa Bagong Pilipinas.”

DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian led the launch, highlighting the portal’s vital role in creating a more supportive environment for Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs). The Kaagapay Donations Portal is designed to streamline cash and in-kind donation processes and strengthen the vital partnership between the DSWD and SWDAs which are instrumental in delivering social protection services to the vulnerable sectors of society.

The portal aims to deliver several key advantages, beginning with enhanced transparency through clear donation tracking, which promotes accountability, and strengthens collaboration and trust between donors and beneficiaries. It is also designed to boost resource mobilization by offering a more accessible donation avenue, thereby helping the DSWD and SWDAs secure increased support for their initiatives. Finally, it facilitates improved coordination and seamless communication between the DSWD and its partner agencies.

The Kaagapay Donations Portal’s launch reflects the DSWD’s ongoing commitment to using technology and innovation to enhance social service delivery. The portal is expected to play a key role in strengthening the agency’s capacity to respond to the needs of vulnerable Filipinos and contribute to the realization of a more inclusive and equitable society.
