DSWD Successfully Concludes 2nd National ABSNet Bi-Annual Activity and Awards Outstanding SWAs and SWDAs
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) successfully held its 2nd National Area-Based Standards Network (ABSNet) Bi-Annual Activity and Conference last November 26-28 at Madison 101 Hotel, Quezon City.
The event, themed “Outstanding SWDAs, Excellent ABSNet,” brought together ABSNet officers from various Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs) to discuss strategies for improving the monitoring of SWDAs and enhancing regulatory functions.
Undersecretary Bragas also also extended her utmost gratitude and appreciation to the National ABSnet officers and members for their unyielding dedication and passion in implementing quality services for the poor, marginalized and vulnerable sectors of our society in her keynote address.
Concurrently, the DSWD recognized the achievements of social welfare and development agencies and organizations at the 2024 Awarding Ceremony for Outstanding Social Work Agencies (SWAs) and Auxiliary Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs).
Six (6) outstanding SWAs and three (3) outstanding Auxiliary SWDAs from across the country were awarded plaques and cash incentives worth Php50,000 each. This annual initiative aims to promote a culture of excellence in social welfare and development. (PJE)
