Safeguarding the rights and welfare of the poor, vulnerable and marginalized beneficiaries while maintaining the quality standards of Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs) is one of the mandates of the Standards Bureau (SB). 

In a learning development intervention conducted on June 8, 2026 (Monday), SB Director Atty. Megan Therese Y. Manahan and Assistant Bureau Director Cynthia V. Ilano spearheaded the activity in partnership with the Department of Justice (DOJ) held at the Katapatan Boardroom at the DSWD Central Office in Quezon City.

Atty. Gilbert E. Cruz,  Senior Assistant City Prosecutor of Malabon City, provided in-depth knowledge on planning, information gathering and methodology, data evaluation, writing a report, and proper filing of reports.

Composed of the Bureau’s Fact-Finding Investigation (FFI) Team and the regulatory monitoring and enforcement staff, the activity equipped the personnel with the technical and ethical knowledge and skills on investigation methodology and its processes. 

In addition, the participants engaged in a writeshop on FFI and filing of reports. (MGCBA)
