As part of its steadfast commitment to strengthening institutional capacity, the Standards Bureau (SB) conducted a specialized Learning and Development Intervention (LDI) last February 6, 2026 which focused on the regulatory requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The primary goal of the LDI was to establish a uniform understanding of SEC policies regarding the registration of non-stock, non-profit organizations, as well as the procedures for amending Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws.
The LDI session featured expert resource persons from the SEC, including Ms. Victoria P. Birol (Securities Specialist II) and Ms. May Rhia Sol T. Avelino (Securities Specialist I). They provided uniform understanding of SEC’s existing policies and technical knowledge into the agency’s suite of digital platforms, which are essential for modern regulatory compliance.
The digital platforms and services of the SEC featured were eSPARC (Electronic Simplified Processing of Application for Registration of Company), eAMEND (Electronic Application for Modification of Entity Data), eFAST (Electronic Filing and Submission Tool), eSEARCH (Electronic SEC Education, Analysis, Research Computing Hub), and eSECURe (Electronic SEC universal Registration Environment).
Through this initiative, the SB continues to modernize its approach to regulation, ensuring that its workforce is equipped with the latest digital competencies to better serve the public and its partner stakeholders. (MGCBA)
