Over 300 representatives from Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs) joined the Online Orientation on Handling of Complaints on March 12, 2026, reinforcing service quality through effective and ethical practices.
Assistant Bureau Director Cynthia V. Ilano emphasized that proper complaint handling protects the rights and dignity of vulnerable sectors, “Every time we handle a complaint effectively, we are safeguarding a child, a woman, an elderly person, a person with disability, or other vulnerable individuals’ rights and dignity.”
Ms. Le’Ann Rose Camante discussed key procedures, including complaint requirements, investigation processes, and grounds for delisting.
In closing, Ms. Charito P. Esteban underscored that fair and prompt resolution of complaints helps restore public trust and uphold client protection.
The activity aimed to strengthen accountability mechanisms and enhance SWDAs’ capacity to deliver responsive and compassionate services. (JACM)
