RSIDG Shines in DSWD Sportsfest 2025
Demonstrating that excellence extends far beyond administrative duties, the Regulatory Services and Institutional Development Group (RSIDG) delivered a powerhouse performance at the DSWD Sportsfest 2025 held during the fourth quarter of 2025. The RSIDG contingent successfully secured 3rd Place Overall in the cluster-wide competition.
The highlight of the tournament for RSIDG was the Badminton Female Doubles category, where Undersecretary for RSIDG Denise Florence Bernos-Bragas, MD, RSW and Ms. Jillian Allison C. Mendoza displayed exceptional chemistry and skill to capture the Championship title. The group’s momentum continued across several disciplines.
The Men’s Volleyball team secured a hard-fought 1st Runner-up finish after a thrilling championship match and the Badminton Mixed Doubles and Singles earned a 3rd Runner-up title in a highly competitive field.
The DSWD Sportsfest 2025 was organized with the primary objective of fostering work-life balance among the department’s hardworking staff. By stepping away from their desks and onto the court, employees were encouraged to prioritize their physical health and mental well-being.
“Events like these are vital for our team. It’s not just about the trophies; it’s about maintaining the wellness of our staff so we can continue to serve the public with renewed energy,” Secretary Rex Gatchalian said during the opening ceremony.
The successful conclusion of the Sportsfest highlights the Department’s commitment to building a resilient and healthy workforce as well as proving that teamwork translates seamlessly into camaraderie within the cluster and with the different OBS. (PJE)
