DSWD-SB Equips Hundreds of SWDAs in Online Orientation on Monitoring Tools

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through the Standards Bureau (SB), successfully conducted the 2nd Batch of the Online Orientation on the Newly Approved Monitoring Tools for private and public Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs) on October 28 to 29, 2025.

The two-day session aims to equip participants with updated information on the monitoring tools to be used by the Bureau. Each tool was briefly discussed to help participants gain a better understanding and appreciate its purpose and application. Specifically, the session sought to enhance participants’ knowledge of the different monitoring tools, ultimately strengthening their capacity to utilize the newly approved instruments. This focus ensures that SWDAs can properly apply standards in delivering quality services.

The Division Chief of the Standards Development Division, Ms. Charito P. Esteban, highlighted in her closing message, “The approved monitoring tools are designed to streamline our processes, enhance data accuracy, and lastly, improve the delivery of our services to the communities we serve,” setting a clear vision for the division’s commitment to service excellence.

This activity underscored the DSWD’s commitment to capacitate its partners and stakeholders in the unified implementation of the new monitoring standards. This step is expected to streamline processes and elevate the quality of social welfare programs across the country.
