Championing Inclusion at the Philippine Disability Expo
In line with the observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Standards Bureau (SB) participated in the Philippine Disability Expo held at the Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall, on December 2, 2025.
The expo served as an opportunity for advocates, partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to converge and push for a more inclusive society.
A highlight of the Bureau’s participation was the technical assistance led by SB personnel providing attendees with an overview of the DSWD HELPS or the Harmonized Electronic License and Permit System.
The DSWD HELPS aims to streamline applications for social welfare and development agencies (SWDAs), increase transparency in licensing and accreditation, and improve accessibility for partners who serve the disability sector.
Joining the SB are other key DSWD programs such as the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), presenting their products and micro-enterprise opportunities for persons with disabilities; and National Vocational Rehabilitation Center (NVRC) showcasing their products and services. (MGCBA)
