DSWD RECOMMENDED FOR CONTINUED ISO 9001:2015 CERTIFICATION AFTER SUCCESSFUL AUDIT

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has been recommended for the continued certification of its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) following a successful surveillance audit conducted by SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. (SCPI) to the Standards Bureau (SB) last August 28, 2025.

“This successful audit reflects our strong commitment to quality management and our determination to continually improve the way we serve the Filipino people,” Undersecretary for Regulatory Services, and Institutional Development Group (RSIDG) Denise Florence Bernos-Bragas, MD, RSW said. She added that the results underscore
the DSWD’s sustained efforts to streamline processes, strengthen accountability, and uphold international quality standards.

The surveillance audit covered two of the Department’s core regulatory services: the Registration, Licensing, and Accreditation (RLA) for Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs), and the issuance of Travel Clearance for Minors Traveling Abroad (MTA). Essential support services, including administration, human resource, and public relations, were also reviewed.

“The agency looks forward to building on the audit findings to accelerate its digital transformation, which aims to modernize frontline services, reduce bureaucratic red tape, and strengthen systems that propel efficiency and accountability,” Undersecretary Bragas stated. (PJE)
